Event Sustainability – UK Exhibition Design Built with Recycled Natural Materials

What are ways we can make events & exhibitions more sustainable? 🌎

Looking at the materials used and how they can avoid being single-use components for a specific event is a great start!

With leading design agency INCA Productions, I was delighted to be producing a stand for Sky at COP26 as on of the event’s Principal Partners. We worked on showcasing commitment to net zero carbon by 2030 by designing and building an engaging stand made with all-natural materials. With sustainability being key to the project, we also maximized recycling and reusability of the exhibition stand after the event.

📌 Wood and fixings were donated and used by a DIY enthusiast.
📌 Aluminium and lighting was repurposed for future events.
📌 Plants were either rented or donated if bought.
📌 And the 100% natural carpet used was even donated to a small holding chicken farm!

What other innovative ideas are a great way to make our events more sustainable?
